The Monte Carlo is a mid-size coupe/sedan built by Chevrolet. Some generations it shared the same chassis as the Pontiac Grand Prix (such as the W-Body chassis in the late 1990s, early 2000s) and has often had a sporty SS version available with a more powerful engine.



Motorsports

This car's body style was the basis for Chevrolet's NASCAR bodies for many years, and for some of those years it raced against the car it shared a chassis/engine with, the Pontiac Grand Prix.
