Cars Simplified: Everything Automotive Explained

Laraki

Laraki was a Morocco-based manufacturer of high-performance luxury sports cars which started in 1999 and lasted until 2008. Its owner was a designer by the name of Abdeslam Laraki, who designed yachts for the King of Bahrain. Laraki produced only 2 models over its nine year lifespan, the Fulgura and Borac.

Laraki Fulgura

Laraki's first attempt and only vehicle that entered the production stage was the the Fulgura. It was originally unveiled as a concept in 2002, which was followed by the production version, revealed just one year later. It was equipped with a quad-turbo, Mercedes-Benz 6.0 liter V12 producing an impressive 920 HP.

Laraki Borac

The Borac was unveiled as a concept in 2005. It is powered by the same Mercedes-Benz 6.0 liter V12 engine that powers the Fulgura, but it lacks the turbochargers equipped on that vehicle, which means it produces a still respectable 540 HP.
